SL vs ZIM: Avishka Fernando likely to miss ODI series after testing positive for COVID-19 –
The ODIs against Zimbabwe will begin on January 16.
After testing positive for COVID-19, Sri Lankan batsman Avishka Fernando is likely to miss the ODI series against Zimbabwe.
According to reports, Sri Lanka’s likely squad was set to enter the bio-secure bubble on Sunday, but Fernando, who received his positive test before the bubble was established, will not be joining the rest of the team.
Kusal Mendis, Niroshan Dickwella, and Danushka Gunathilaka, who were previously banned, may be able to fill the vacuum left by Fernando’s absence.
