SA vs IND: Cricket fraternity reacts as KL Rahul leads Team India with Kohli missing out due to back spasm – Cricket fraternity on Monday (3rd January) was shocked as Team India Test captain Virat Kohli didn’t come out for the toss in the second Test against South Africa at Johannesburg.

Rahul joined South Africa Captain Dean Elgar for the toss and confirmed that Kohli will miss this Test match due to back spasm.

Hanuma Vihari is playing in place of Virat Kohli in the second Test at the Johannesburg.

“Unfortunately Virat has had an upper back spasm, the physios are working on him and hopefully he’ll recover for the next Test,” Rahul said at the toss.

Kohli was practicing in the nets ahead of the Test match, his absence came as a surprise for the fans and experts alike.

Cricket fraternity congratulated Rahul on getting an opportunity to lead India and also shared their views on Kohli’s absence.
