Women’s World Cup 2022: Team Pakistan arrives in New Zealand

Pakistan squad arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand on Thursday, for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022.

Taking to their Twitter, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wrote, “Karachi Dubai Auckland Christchurch, Our women’s team have reached New Zealand for #CWC22.”

On the other hand, Team Pakistan will be led by Bismah Maroof throughout the competition. Therefore, Bismah will be making her comeback to international cricket after a two-year hiatus. Due to the birth of her first child in December 2020.

Moreover, New Zealand will host the Women’s World Cup from March 4 to April 3.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will start their campaign against arch-rivals against India on March 6 at Bay Oval in Tauranga.

Pakistan squad: Bismah Maroof (captain), Nida Dar (vice-captain), Aiman Anwar, Aliya Riaz, Anam Amin, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Ghulam Fatima, Javeria Khan, Muneeba Ali, Nahida Khan, Nashra Sandhu, Omaima Sohail, Sidra Amin and Sidra Nawaz.

In addition Traveling reserves: Iram Javed, Najiha Alvi, and Tuba Hassan.

21 March – Pakistan v West Indies at Seddon Park, Hamilton
