SA vs IND: Virat Kohli took a brilliant low catch to complete 100 catches in Test cricket; Watch Video

On Day 2 of the third Test between India and South Africa. Virat Kohli made history by becoming the sixth Indian (excluding wicket-keepers) to collect 100 catches in Test cricket.

Kohli went low and pouched the ball with both hands to reach the milestone with a stunning catch to dismiss Temba Bavuma at second slip.

Mohammed Shami bowled a length that was hauled back after being hit to the cover fence on the fourth ball of the 55th over. There was some away movement as well, but when batter Temba Bavuma attempted to defend, he was sent back to the crease.

Virat Kohli dived to his left at second slip and grabbed it inches above the ground after the Proteas batter only managed a meek poke. He was spotted applauding the catch not only because it was the skipper’s 100th Test catch. But also because it interrupted a partnership just as it was about to develop.

The visitors won the toss and chose to bat first in the final match, despite the cloudy circumstances. The host nation, on the other hand, was on a high after dismissing India’s batting line-up for 223 in the first innings.
