SA vs IND, 3rd Test: Indian fans slams Pujara for dropping Keegan Petersen catch; Watch Video
SA vs IND, 3rd Test:Cheteshwar Pujara‘s tour of South Africa is plainly not going well. The veteran has been scrutinised numerous times for his poor performance. With the exception of the second innings of the second Test, when Pujara hit a half-century, the 33-year-old has failed to live up to his billing.
With so much being said about him, it’s fair to say he’s under pressure. He scored 52 runs in the third test at Cape Town, including a 43. Pujara has a designated space in the Indian slip cordon – 1st slip – in addition to his reserved number three spot in the test batting lineup.
With nothing going right for Pujara, the under-fire India number three made matters worse by dropping a sitter with India needing to defend 212 to win a historic series.
On day 4, Jasprit Bumrah had a fantastic stint, while Keegan Petersen and Rassie Van van Dussen kept playing and missing. When Petersen eventually got one to the slips, Bumrah’s bad luck came to an end when Pujara dropped a routine catch.

Meanwhile, the Twitterati were not impressed by Cheteshwar Pujara, who squandered a golden opportunity to get India back into the contest. Chances like these are critical while defending a low total.
