PSL 2022: Paul Stirling to leave Islamabad United due to National Duties;
Islamabad United will replace Paul Stirling. He began the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 with a scintillating 57 off 25 against Peshawar Zalmi, with Liam Dawson. After the former will leave the side for international duty from 7 February.
The replacement has been approved by Event Technical Committee, which is headed by Zakir Khan (Director – International Cricket Operations), and includes Nadeem Khan (Director – High Performance) and Sameer Khosa.

Stirling recorded Islamabad United’s fastest 50, breaching the landmark in just 18 balls gainst Peshawar Zalmi. He spanked seven fours and three sixes in his 25-ball 57.
Liam Dawson has previously played for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League. Therefore, in 24 games with Peshawar Zalmi across three seasons, the all-rounder took 11 wickets and scored 363 runs.
Moreover, he has also represented England at the international level, appearing in eight T20Is, three ODIs, and three T20Is. However, in the Lahore leg of the tournament, the 31-year-old will join the Islamabad United side.
