Mohammed Siraj posts heartfelt note for Virat Kohli;

India pacer Mohammed Siraj has thanked former skipper Virat Kohli for trusting and believing in him.

After seven years as India’s Test captain, Kohli announced his retirement on Saturday. Siraj, who played for RCB in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Under Kohli’s guidance, said the former India captain will always be his captain.

“To my superhero, I cannot be thankful enough for the support and the encouragement that I got from you. You have always been my great brother. Thank you for trusting me and believing in me for all these years. For seeing the great at my worst. You will be always be my captain King Kohli,” Siraj said in an Instagram post.

Kohli stepped down as T20I captain last year and was later ousted as ODI captain because the selectors preferred a single captain for the white-ball game.

Kohli has become India’s most successful Test skipper in the country’s history. He has captained India in 68 Test matches since taking over from MS Dhoni, with 40 victories and a win percentage of 58.82.

In 2015, as Test captain, he led India to their first series victory in Sri Lanka, a success that had eluded them for 22 years.

Kohli also has an unblemished record as a captain, having won 24 of the 31 Tests he has led at home, with only two Tests lost.
