Mitchell Starc considering to put his name in IPL 2022 Mega Auction
Mitchell Starc said that he is considering to put his name in IPL 2022 mega auction.
This year’s IPL super auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13. Starc has appeared in 27 IPL matches with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), however he has not played in the competition for some years.
“I have two days to turn in my papers, so that might be something I do before training today. I haven’t put my name down yet, but I have a few more days to think about it. It’s clearly on the table, regardless of what else is on the horizon” cricket.com.au quoted Starc as saying.

“I haven’t been in around six years. Obviously, with recent trends favouring T20s and the World Cup coming up later this year, that’s a factor to consider. There’s a lot of scheduling and other stuff to figure out, especially for us multi-format players” he added.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India gave formal approval to two new IPL franchises on Tuesday: Sanjiv Goenka RPSG Group for the Lucknow franchise and CVC Capital for the Ahmedabad franchise (BCCI).
After a meeting of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council on Tuesday, the formal approval was issued, and both Ahmedabad and Lucknow were given a deadline for player signings.
Both the Lucknow and Ahmedabad franchises have received formal approval. IPL chairman Brijesh Patel told ANI that both of them have been given two weeks to finalise their draught decisions.
Patel also confirmed that the IPL auction will take place on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru.
“Yes, the auction will be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru,” Patel confirmed.
