Legends League Cricket: Tharanga, Asghar shine as Asia Lions defeat India Maharajas;
In the Legends League Cricket event in Muscat on Monday, the India Maharajas were defeated by the resurgent Asian Lions by 36 runs.
The Mohammed Kaif-led side was overrun by the Lions, who scored 193 for four, with half-centuries from Upul Tharanga and Asghar Afghan.
The Lions got off to a bad start after being put to bat by India, with Stuart Binny dismissing Tillakaratne Dilshan off the opening ball of the session, and fellow opener Kaluwitharana (13) falling soon after.
