Legends Cricket League: Sehwag, Harbhajan, Yuvraj to play for India Maharajas  On Tuesday (4th January), the Legends League Cricket, a professional cricket league for retired international cricketers, announced the name of the squad that would represent India, as well as the players who will play for the team.

Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Badrinath, RP Singh, Pragyan Ojha, Naman Ojha, Manpreet Gony, Hemang Badani, Venugopal Rao, Munaf Patel, Sanjay Bangar, Nayan Mongia, and Amit Bhandari will play for the India Maharajas. The League will begin on January 20 at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Oman, with three strong teams competing. Asia and the rest of the world would be represented by the other two teams.

In a release, Ravi Shastri, Commissioner of Legends League Cricket, said: “They will come, witness, and triumph in the manner of genuine Kings. The Indian Cricket Maharajas have banded together to take on the other two elite teams from Asia and the rest of the world. When Sehwag, Yuvraj, and Bhajji face off against Afridi, Murali, Chaminda, and Shoaib, it will be a blast from the past for the fans.”

Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Azhar Mahmood, Upul Tharanga, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammed Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Mohammed Yousuf, Umar Gul, and Asghar Afghan Kamran Akmal has taken the place of Younis Khan.

The remainder of the world’s players will be announced soon as well.
