IPL 2022: BCCI asks New IPL Franchises to submit retention list till January 22;

The BCCI has taken the first step toward integrating the two new teams including the RPSG Group’s Lucknow franchise into the IPL 2022.

By formally authorising team to sign players after finally giving the go-ahead to CVC Capital to own the Ahmedabad franchise. On Wednesday morning, two new franchises received approval in the form of a letter.

According to Cricbuzz, new teams have time til January 22 to finish their signing procedure. With a maximum of three players and no more than one player from outside the country.

The IPL auction will take place on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru.

“They have until January 22 at 5 p.m. to complete their signings,” a BCCI official told Cricbuzz.

The teams were originally granted two weeks, but it is thought that ten days will be enough.

Because the teams completed their groundwork during the time spent completing due diligence on CVC Capital, which coincidentally stalled the entire IPL process.

The mega auction is on track to be completed on February 12 and 13, as planned. Thanks to the BCCI’s ability to finish player enrolments for the auction register by the deadline of January 22.
