IPL 2022: Mega Auction Date, Time, Venue, Players List, Salary Purse – Latest Updates – The preparations for IPL 2022 are already on, and the cash-rich event will feature a total of ten teams in the new season, thanks to the BCCI’s acquisition of two new franchises, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, as well as eight existing franchises. IPL fans are now looking forward to the major auction for the IPL 2022 season, which is set to take place in February.

The IPL 2022 mega auction will feature 10 franchises: Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad. Each team has a total wage cap of Rs. 90 crore for the IPL 2022 super auction, according to BCCI rules.

The existing eight franchises have kept a total of 27 players in their teams, including 19 Indians and 8 overseas players. The BCCI allowed the 8 old teams to keep a maximum of four players in their squads.

When and where will the IPL 2022 Auction take place?

According to sources, the IPL 2022 mega auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, 2022. Earlier, the mega auction for the IPL 2022 season was set to take place in January.
