IND vs WI: Team India begins training for West Indies ODIs

IND vs WI: Team India on Friday began preparation for the West Indies ODI series which gets underway later this week. The team enjoyed a short session on Thursday, with the players accompanied by trainers.

India will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad starting on Sunday, followed by a T20I series at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata starting on February 16. The images from the team’s training session on Friday were posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

It was a full-fledged practise session with the players practising under the lights.

Head coach Rahul Dravid introduced promising leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi to the team.

Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and others batted at the nets. While Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, who is making a comeback to the ODI team, rolled their arms overs.

Mohammad Siraj, a pace bowler, and Shardul Thakur, an all-rounder, also bowled in the nets.

However, no new COVID-19 case has emerged on Thursday. And the Rohit Sharma-led side started training ahead of the upcoming West Indies series.
