Former cricketer Saba Karim backs Virat Kohli despite failure against West Indies in ODI series
In the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, Virat Kohli has been a shadow of his old self with the bat. Despite the fact that the former India skipper only managed to score 8, 18 and a duck in the ODI series, former India wicket-keeper batsman Saba Karim has backed the talisman.
“Everyone is talking about @imVkohli poor form. But I don’t think it’s time to press the panic button. The slump in form is part and parcel of the game. Even greats like @sachin_rt and Gavaskar had to deal with the challenges of high expectations. This too shall pass! #INDvWI” tweeted former India wicket-keeper Saba Karim.

Virat Kohli has only managed to score 26 runs in three innings at an average of 8.66. Virat has played 18 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) since 2020, scoring 702 runs at an average of 39, with nine half-centuries and no centuries. The talisman’s last international century came against Bangladesh in a Test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on November 23rd, 2019.
Virat Kohli’s slump is not unusual; many great players have gone through it in the past, and former cricketer Saba Karim believes he will recover sooner rather than later.
