BBL 2021-22: Rashid Khan, Moises Henriques named in BBL 11 Team of Tournament;
BBL 2021-22: Rashid Khan of Afghanistan and Moises Henriques of Australia were named in the Big Bash League (BBL) 11 Team of the Tournament.
The tournament’s Team of the Tournament is chosen by the head coaches of each of the eight clubs. The Team of the Tournament is led by Ben McDermott and Josh Philippe, who were chosen unanimously by the eight coaches. On his way to 577 runs at 48.08 per this season, McDermott became the first player in BBL history to hit century in successive games, and he leads the BKT Golden Bat count by 109 runs with two games remaining. Josh Philippe has been a standout for the Sixers this season, scoring 429 runs and claiming 17 dismissals.
Joe Clarke, Mitchell Marsh, Matt Short, and Moises Henriques form a formidable trio after that. Clarke, Short, and Henriques have combined for nearly 400 runs this season, including 10 half-centuries and 55 sixes. Marsh, while only appearing in seven games owing to national obligations, demonstrated the qualities that earned him the player of the match award in the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Final, hitting 342 runs at an average of 68.40.
