Ashes 2021-22: Marnus Labuschagne dismissed in a weird way by Stuart Broad; Watch Video

Ashes 2021-22: Marnus Labuschagne of Australia makes headlines in cricket for his regular performances, particularly in Test matches.

While leaving the balls outside off-stump, his demeanour is sometimes identical to that of his partner Steve Smith. It has become a signature for both of these batters. However, as Labuschagne demonstrated on the first day of the last Ashes Test match in Hobart, things don’t always go your way. The right-hander batted brilliantly for 44 runs, but his removal just before noon was a moment he’d rather forget.

After England startled Australia with three quick wickets in the first session, Labuschagne and Travis Head forged a great attacking partnership that helped Australia get out of difficulty.

Labuschagne delivered a balanced game to the middle, attacking and strategically selecting the ball to defend. In an attempt to collect runs against Stuart Broad, Marnus shifted to the off-stump and gave the bowler an unobstructed view off the stumps.

Broad used his knowledge to bowl a wider length that targeted the batter’s centre and leg-stump line.

Labuschagne pulled himself into an awkward tangle while attempting to navigate the ball and tumbled down, the ball hitting the stumps.

As Marnus got himself up from the ground and walked towards the pavilion. The entire English team, as well as the fans, burst out laughing. It was possibly the longest walk of his career.
