At the Sydney Cricket Ground, Steve Smith on Day 4th of a fourth Test match crosses 3000 runs in Ashes history during his second inning against England.
At the ongoing fourth Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia vice-captain Steve Smith became the 6th batsman in Ashes history to cross 3000 runs. On Saturday, the right-hander became the 300th player in the world when he scored 23 runs in the second innings against England.

Smith joins the elite list such as Sir Don Bradman, Jack Hobbs, Allan Border, Steve Waugh, and David Gower. In addition, the Ex- captain became only the 5th batter in history to hit more Test runs than England. Bradman leads both rankings with 5028 runs.
Australia is in a strong position in the ongoing Sydney Test match Winning the series and keeping the Ashes. Australia declared at 265/6 in the second innings, with Usman Khawaja scoring an unbeaten 101 to give England a 388-run goal.
Usman Khawaja, who is playing his first Test since 2019, created a first-inning total of 137. England is 30/0 at stumps on Day 4 and needs 358 runs to win the match on the final day at Sydney Cricket Ground. Khawaja also became the 3rd player in Test history to score a century in both innings at the SCG.
